Meatball Grinders

The next level of Meatball Sandwich!

1.5 lb Bari Italian style meatballs frozen 1oz ( about 24 )
2 c. Italian spaghetti sauce (jar or preferably homemade)
1 tsp Oregano, crushed
4 6” sub rolls We recommend Gonnella or Turano  french loaf (cut into 6” sections)
2 pkg (4 oz. ea.) Mozzarella cheese
4 tbsp    Bari hot or mild giardiniera mix (optional)

Heat sauce and meatballs in 3 qt. saucepan over medium high heat to a boil.  Reduce heat to low.  Cook for 20 min. or until meatballs are heated through, stirring occasionally.  Lay out 4 12”X12” pieces of foil, place 6 meatballs in each roll.  Place sandwich on foil, meatball side up. Gather foil on all sides of sandwich  leaving the top exposed. Place optional Bari giardiniera on top, then shredded mozzarella cheese and finally, a sprinkle of oregano.  Put your masterpiece in the broiler until cheese browns.
